Tit's out.

While the chicks remain firmly ensconced inside the box.

The parents are now delivering food to their possibly immense family at a rate of at least once a minute.

Last week, with the children's trampoline now in use, they were slightly reticent to pop in and out. Seven days later, they are so confident with us humans about in the garden that they pay very little attention to us.

Although they make quite a variety of calls to each other, they also make a number of different physical signs, the most amusing being one of the pair fluttering it's wings in a manner similar to a freshly fledged chick asking for food. This seems to mean - 'you go into the box first, but hurry up, I've got some more food in my beak for them'.

They also only need to make a small call from a nearby tree for all the chicks to start chirping in expectation.
