The View from Fortress Ridge.....

Seeing as how I was off on Friday, today felt like Sunday.....it wasn't, result!

After a nice cooked breakie of Black Pudding, Eggs, Potato Scones and Ayrshire Bacon!!, we drove up the hill to Leura to to the Fortress Ridge walk.....it was a cracker !!

The path was a bit iffy and over grown, at most points you couldn't see your feet.....hopefully all the snakes have started hibernating for the Winter!!What was a 3 hour walk took a bit longer due to the path...... The pay off for the path was this view....I was speechless....that doesn't happen often!!! The peak closest to us and in the centre of the shot is Lockleys Pylon seen here in a previous blip but seen from the left of that picture and across the valley!!
The view was amazing and next time we are contemplating sitting out there to watch the sunset....although the scary path could become even more terrifying in the dark.....

We also saw what I think was a Wedge tail..... I think, it flew very close to us, it was huge !!

Also we visited my fav bottle shop, the real reason I like going bushwalking up that way....I picked up a bottle of this....I am so excited to try it....seeing as how it cost a lot....I'll keep it for a special occasion!!

Slow cooked Chilli for dinner tonight.....its been cooking since 9am this morning....it smells amazing !!

Oh and it goes without saying but today is best viewed LARGE!!
