The Wandering Minstrel

Moon Hill

One of the draws of the area around Yangshuo, where I am spending the next couple of days, is the hills. Not quite as tall as Huangshan from a few days ago, but they are arguably more beautiful by virtue of being peculiar. These limestone peaks seem to pop up out of an otherwise flat landscape, which is full of rice fields.

This view is from the top of Moon Hill, one of the highest of these peaks which just happens to have a hole in it. This is reflected under these mountains - there are numerous caves in the area, one of which I visited but sadly failed to get any good pictures from.
