Old Coastguard Station
Especially for "eopix" today, I present some of the forty shades of Irish Green since he is beginning to think that there is nothing but grey and gloom over here. This is a little of what we have in store for you when you visit us in a few weeks tme. Mind you it was blowing a gale when I shot this, probably somewhere close to force 10. The joyous news is that for tomorrow they are threatening us with "Violent Storm Force 11" which hopefully will restrict itself to the West Coast.
The subject here is an old ruined Coastguard Station overlooking the ocean about 8 miles from here. Once this building had fallen into disrepair the Coastguards moved into new premises which have now been vacated and turned into luxury apartments. Modern technology means that we no longer need to have guys up on the cliffs armed with sustaining grog and a pair of binoculars.
