New Life

Hard to see: a nest full of blackbird chicks.

I was unpacking my (new)car after myweekend with my folks.

I heard the cheeps. I saw the nest - on top of my nightime spotlight which I now will not use til the chicks have flown.

A very straggly nest - blackbirds. These wee guys trust me implicitly. They didn't move when I moved around and "dad" sat on the wall watching, just in case.

I love the birds in my garden and I can only say how honoured I am that they trust me this much.
