Home Sweet Home
This weekend we headed out of town for our first camping trip of the season. We met some of our dear friends at Kahneetah in Warm Springs which is an Indian Reservation a couple hours from our house. We had a fabulous time catching up with friends, watching the kids playing together, eating way too much and me taking over 500 pictures. Yes, I said over 500 pictures. I have some back blipping to do once I can sort through my pictures.
When we drove into Kahneeta, like many times before I couldn't help but pay attention to the many abandoned homes, school and various structures. It's a different way to live, living on an Indian reservation and it seems once something has been abandoned it isn't torn down but instead just sits there. When we drove past this old, what I am assuming is a church, I knew that was going to be my blip for the day we left. So as we headed back towards home today my husband pulled over so I could take several photos. I tried to talk my 9 year old son into coming with me but he said "no way, that place looks haunted". I couldn't help but be intrigued by the structure, wondering how old it is, the history of it and how many years it's sat empty and boarded. I tried to do my best to capture in a photo what drew me to it.
We're back home now which means there is a LOT of laundry and unpacking to do. The motorhome needs a thorough cleaning before our next trip over Memorial Day Weekend. I love our weekends away as a family in our motorhome but I do love returning to our Home Sweet Home.
