My Incredible 6 Year Old

For most of you who check in on my blips you already know this is my youngest son Carter and the subject of many of my daily blips. He's quite the character and as you can see by the picture he is showing me he is 6 years old but is quick to remind me almost 7. He's been planning his birthday party since ohhhh about midway into last September, keep in mind that his birthday is at the beginning of September. This means since almost the day after his birthday last year he has been informating me what type of party he's having next year and I'll have you know the theme has changed a few times. We are now on to a Harry Potter theme. He's going through this funny stage (he has an incredible memory) that when he relates back to events or stories he will inform you "when I was 5" or "remember when I was 4 and we...". Not sure what has sparked this but it's interesting and usually he is right on the spot with the age he has stated he was at the time whatever the event was which took place.

He's so stinking smart that it fascinates me and makes me wonder where he obtains half his knowledge from. He'll sit in the backseat of the car and make up math problems (addition, multiplication and even some division) in his head or randomly inform me facts about misc. animals. He absorbs everything. He's incredibly smart and yet he's the kid who every morning walks out of the house without his school backpack or will walk right into a wall and never saw it coming. Go figure? He does make us laugh and we love all his wonderful characteristics. It's going to be quite interesting to see what this little guy grows up to be ...... If being Harry Potter or some character from Star Wars was an option then I'm sure that's what he would choose.
