'Survival Sunday'
Sunday was a long and boring shift, on the whole.
Well, let's just say that the start of the day was a slow day but by the evening I think a lot of the other drivers had probably given up and gone home and things started to pick up and tick over nicely. I did enjoy the quietness to allow me to keep tabs on 'Survival Sunday' on the radio, which sadly saw Blackpool relegated. I think half of England were hoping the Tangerines would survive. It's been refreshing to have an "underdog" mixing it and shaking up the Premiership big boys. They've been a breath of fresh air and I would have loved them to still be there. But it will probably allow me to visit them next season. Blackpool holds some good memories for me as it was the place that I proposed to my wife.
I was starting to panic about 7pm that I was way off my nightly target, and in danger of missing the weekly target - even though I had gone into the day having a bit of a cushion from a better week. Thankfully, the evening picked up and I fell just short of my nightly target, although the more important weekly figure (to make up the running costs) was met.
Nothing really much to report in the means of amusing or interesting hires, although this photo was taken on the way back from Rosyth Ferry Terminal taking a friendly French lady back for her ferry to Sweden. I think is quite a good photo.
