Sheringham Pier

M struck lucky once again and managed to win yet another competition, this time a £500 National Trust holiday. We decided upon Norfolk after a recommendation from M's boss who used to live there and because none of us had seen much of the East coast.

Our home for the week was Marble Hill Lodge a charming detached cottage which was one of a pair of gatehouses, guarding the former main entrance to the huge Felbrigg Estate. Standing in a delightful backwater of the estate, with wonderful woodlands and parkland walks right on our doorstep and only ten minutes drive from the North Norfolk coast.

We managed to cram an awful lot into the space of a week and covered most of the picturesque coastal villages and towns. Today we visited Kings Lynn, Sheringham and Cromer which is famous for tasty fresh crab.
