Hawk and moose...

This is a gilded sign hanging outside Gladstones Land or the People's Museum or something in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. It shows a hawk of some description with a mouse in its claws.
No doubt the story is contained inside the museum somewhere,
But more importantly, - one of the tourist trock shops down from the Assembly Hall sells -------MILLERS BLACKCURRANT AND LIQUORICE SWEETS!
