My Mum

This is a picture of my mum taken when she was 21 ... She was a beautiful, very proud young woman who loved life and had a wicked sense of humour.

Most of you know the events of the past couple of weeks and that my mum went for an op to fix her broken shoulder and arm. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned and she arrested when given the drugs during her op. She suffered a heart attack and "died" for 7 minutes. she was taken to intensive care where she had another heart attack and was kept sedated for 2 days. During the CPR that was given, they cracked a couple of ribs so she has pretty much been through a terrible time.

I am happy to say that she has managed to survive this horrible ordeal. Shaki and I made the decision to bring her to London to live with us so we can look after her. She was deemed fit to be transferred on Sunday and is now safely here with us. She is very weak and tired and recovery will take many months, suffice it to say she will now not be having the op to fix her shoulder. We will manage and adapt somehow.

So now it is all about getting her back to good health and taking small steps.

I would like to thank everyone for their comments, txts and emails. They have really helped over the last couple of weeks. I am just so happy to have her here with us. ;-) xx
