NOT the Chelsea Flower Show ...

... Although it feels like it with the amount of flowers in the house lol.

Mum is getting more settled now and we have sort of got a routine going. She has started to get visitors from our friends here in London which is lovely. Mum used to come visit us often so she has met many of our friends, who have been so supportive to me during the last few weeks.

So the last couple of days they have been visiting armed with bunches of flowers which my mum loves. Now our house is like the Chelsea flower show. Mum isn't able to do much at the moment, because the shoulder and arm are still broken as they didn't get around to fixing it, she has very limited mobility, so everyday things like washing and dressing and cooking are not possible just yet.

But, she appears quite upbeat and is happy to spend time resting and watching the French Open Tennis. We have started to notice the memory loss is worse than before, little things like using the sky remote, which she could use quite happily before, now seems to be difficult. We have explained to her that it will come back but for now she has to let Shaki and I do things for her until she is able to do it herself. No mean feat for someone who likes to be very independent.

The days now are filled with trying to get her to rest, build a routine and slowly try and get her some independence back. My blips maybe a little sporadic over the next week but hopefully I can get back to blipping daily. I am so thankful my mum is here where we can keep an eye on her. Shaki and I were supposed to go on holiday today but we managed to change the date until mum is on the mend.

A more positive day in Lelville ;-) xx
