Walking About York

After staying at my dad's we got up early to go for a walk along the River Ouse to build up an appetite for breakfast. After the excessive bacon buttie, it was off to the moors. Having visited York a couple of times, i had never been out onto the Yorkshire Moors. I thought i had, but was told that was the Yorkshire Dales and apparently they aren't the same thing!

The brisk walk amongst all the heathered landscape was a lot of fun. It was super windy and very open where we were and there was some crazy people having a radio controlled plane league going on. It looked super technical but they were whizzing these things all over the place. After a filling lunch it was off off down the road to Sheffield, or just outside, i visit Sarah and Aidan.

We decided to stay in and have a *few* drinks, but The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men, gang aft agley. Lets say i had a hangover the next day, although did watch a film called Black Dynamite....very good.

This picture was taken in York in the morning. Having stepped out to walk along the river at 9am on a Saturday, it was strange to see Post Men on bikes delivering to canal boats, well strange for me.
