Pink Pine Cones???

Here is the little pine tree I talked about yesterday. I am intrigued by the pink "pine cones". Is that what they are? I hope some one might be able to enlighten me about those cute little pink protrusions, and what the name of this little tree might be.

I off to Roseburg for the weekend to visit my daughter and her 6 children. It is so nice to get a grandkid fix, and to see green, growing things. Roseburg is on the west side of the Cascade Range, and so spring is bordering of summer there. The flowers there are exquisite, and there are many different varieties that we can't grow here successfully. It s fun to go to Roseburg!
