Little Red Bird

Hoping to post my photo earlier today, I thought I found a suitable little subject sitting on a branch outside the window. I am a bit disappointed that the photo isn't too sharp...shooting through glass can be a pain! Also, my subject was eyeing me suspiciously, and I was fearful he would fly before I could get some shots.

I read a bit about these birds and it seems they were brought to the US and illegally released in Long Island, New York. They fly south in the winter and the color on the males is completely dependant upon the amount of carotenoids in their diet.
