Lonely Church

Today we are off to Christchurch to meet the movers and finally shift our possessions out of the hostel and off to Mosgiel where we have a storage unit ready and waiting. We took our time on the way up, I think we were trying to delay the inevitable and avoid any chance of being there for another aftershock. I have passed this church, which is on a side road between Oamaru and Timaru, many times and always thought it was quite strange that it is sitting there all on its own with not another building in sight.

It got me thinking...........

I wonder why this church was build just here, there isn?t a sign of life anywhere here and I cant understand where the congregation would have come from. That might be the reason why it is now closed I guess......
