I should not have been here today to publish my 200th and should have been in Amsterdam with the girls had it not been for the storm above Heathrow yesterday when 70 flights were grounded in the evening at the last minute. What turmoil! We had enjoyed a light meal at Giraffe after having passed through passport control on the way to Gate 9. The queue snaked its way around the seating and we thought it must have been a very large plane until someone told us this was the way out to passport control again and our luggage! It wasn't even Icelandic dust that nature was throwing at us this time. Just bad luck!

We decided not to try and book flights the following day as they were already full and we had only planned to be away for three nights so drove back to Bristol to M's house where we spent the night and had a retail therapy day and a walk by the waterfront before A and I drove home. Oh well, the whole escapade was an adventure and a change!

This is Moggy, a Persian Chinchilla cat who belongs to my goddaughter. She came together with a solid ginger cat and they live happily in a small terraced house not far from Bristol city centre.
