Janitzio Vendor

Sometimes you just get lucky. We had taken the boat to Isle de Janitzio and were coming down the hill after viewing the monument (which was also a great photo subject as were the traditional fishermen on the ride over). I was attempting to get a shot of showing the steepness of the stairs and the claustrophobicness of the market stalls that line said stairs, when I caputred this image of a deep-fried, lake-fish vendor glancing up at me. I couldn't ask for better lighting on her face or a more sublime expression, which made it an easy choice after two days of general scenic shots.
