Iridescent beetle
This flower beetle was about all I could find around in my garden this morning. I do like the shine and colours on his elytra. He was madly wiggling his antennae. It was happily sitting on the clump of daisies that has sprung up in the grass in the back garden. It has been grey and overcast all day with a few showers and then brilliant sunshine.
Walked up to the local shops to buy bread and bits for lunch. We saw lots of rolled up leaves sealed with silk on the small oak trees that border the path to the shops. I'm not sure what they are - some kind of caterpillar?
We had an afternoon pottering around the house. We made a mad impulse online purchase today....it all started with a bit in the newspaper on the growing sales of ebooks. Watch this space.....
Caught up on some ironing while husband offered telephone IT support to son number one who has managed to get some nasty malware on his laptop. It is one of the spoof virus warning things but it had blocked access to the internet which made finding solutions and downloading malware-killing tools a bit tricky. It also seems to have fooled his security and virus software somehow. Think he might have almost got it sorted now. Had to resist the temptation to suggest that we just drive 200 miles and sort it out in person.
