Soaring kite

Little opportunity to get out today. Grey and miserable at lunchtime and surprisingly cold.

Headed off to the gym after work. Husband did a spin class and I ran on the treadmill. Seem to be doing better with my 5K distance. Enjoyed a drink and a chat in the bar afterwards.

Went out into the garden in search of an easy photo and just happened to catch a red kite going overhead. We have loads of them round us and they are a common but still beautiful sight. I've cropped the photo a bit but I'm pleasantly surprised with the amount of detail you can see.

Hoping to sit down now with husband and son number two to watch an episode of House with a glass of wine at my side.

Looking forward to another longer weekend.
