Playing a gig

Went round to see some friends and their new baby boy today, took them some dinner and stayed to eat with them.

Ben was more interested in the keyboard, microphone, guitar and drum though. Of course.

Edit... I have just remembered one other thing of note today. Ben fell asleep downstairs on me this afternoon and I took him up to his bed and stayed with him while he resettled. Then I went off to the shops. Came home to find that Steve had managed to wake Ben up, quite accidentally, when going into our room to get a pile of laundry to put on to wash.

Accidentally - really it's never going to help if you are asleep on the floor just the other side of the door, is it now.

(And to point out, it's not as if the door was closed and he couldn't open it - we never bother closing the door! I can only assume he'd done what he does at night and half-asleep climbs out of his bed and into ours, but this time had climbed out of bed and headed towards the door to find us and had simply fallen asleep again by the time he got to the door!)
