Red onion

I really should clear out my vegetable cupboard more often. Found this lurking at the bottom of the basket (along with a few other sprouting friends). I liked the colours so much that I thought it was worthy of a photograph.

Still no sign of that elusive yellow ball in the sky; just dull and quite windy. Typical Bank Holiday weekend weather. But it's ideal for gardening, so I've cut the grass this morning. Mr A has taken the dog to the beach, leaving me with the boys, who for some reason want to sit indoors and watch Dr Who all day. Hannah has left them to it, and is spending the afternoon with her cousins.

And it's homemade lasagne and garlic bread tonight. That should keep the vampires away!
