Checking Out

All good things must come to an end and so it was with our trip to Pátzcuaro. After five wonderful days we were set to head back to Zihuatanejo. I caught my wife, wrapped in her newly purchased reboso to ward off the early morning chill, looking wistfully out at one of our hotel patios. She may have been contemplating the journey ahead, or she might have been thinking about returning to purchase the things we couldn't carry this trip, or she may have been reflecting on what we had experienced in this wonderful little town by the lake. Regardless, we were soon in a taxi on our way to the bus station and ultimately our coastal home.
