A thirsty fox and a hungry hawk

We had some really nice wildlife experiences at the allotment today. When we had breakfast we suddenly could see a fox coming for a drink from our mini pond in the back garden. Unfortunately this was the best shot we could get - the fox disappearing into the forest behind the allotment.

In the afternoon a Northern Goshawk flew over the allotment, chased by two crows. It was having a late lunch in one of the old Scot's Pines in front of the allotment.

A wonderful day at the allotment, even if the weather was very windy and rather cold (temperatures around +9°C).
