Writer's Block

I forgot...

..to take a photo of what we really did today so here is a photo of just some of the goods I picked up at a kids consignment shop yesterday while out with M.

This shop happens to be just a block from our house but I hadn't had a chance to go yet. The stars aligned today and we were able to go check it out. The shop is definitely the best consignment/second hand shop for kids and babies that I've been to yet - and I've checked out several over the last few months!

I picked up a Fisher-Price bouncy seat for $16, a co-sleeper for $12, a contoured changing pad for $7, and a baby bath sling for $6. Also, I bought the baby clothes seen here all for under $12 ... plus the green fabric thing at the top of the photo, which is one of those nursing cover ups (probably wouldn't have bought one at retail price - $30-40 ), for $10. Tons of cute clothes there - it was hard not to buy more but I resisted the urge.

So, what we REALLY did today was drive with our friends A&E out to an Indian casino to sign up for their players club and get a free lobster buffet. But we ended up having to wait 8 hours until dinner because it was so packed (Memorial Day weekend - everybody wants a free buffet!) so we passed the time by going to see Hangover 2 (I give it 2 stars - definitely not as funny as the first). Then we back to eat as much shrimp, lobster and roast beef as our stomachs could handle before going home to pass out in a food coma. Ah, gotta love the great American tradition that is the lobster buffet.

However, I have to say, nothing makes you feel more like a steller role model than walking around a smokey casino at almost 7 months pregnant (I waited in the non-smoking section when I could, but passing through the smoke was unavoidable. Ick.) .

Oh and I lost $2 to the nickel slots. I shake my fist.
