IVORY CONCH

I think this is an Ivory Conch which I found in the Riccarton Bush today -

Riccarton Bush is one of the few surviving Podocarp Forests in ChCh. There are a couple of pockets of Podocarp left on the port Hills - (podocarp ) I think is a greek word but it basically means our Native Hardwood trees like the Kahikatea, Totara, Kauri, Beech and more. The fungi found in these forests is pretty special and definately different to those found in Pine Forest.

Christchurch has not had a lot of rain which is what is needed to get some good stuff. - Hence it was had going today. It leaves some-thing to do for the future.
