Fertile eggs for the broody hens

Here we have 12 of the 18 eggs we have had to buy for our six broodies! Once one of the girls goes broody, they all decide that they want to be pregnant!!!

There they sit each one on a nest, which leaves two spaces for the others to lay their eggs. We have had to make this the maternity wing and make the other little hutch available for the others girls to lay each day.

We keep on saying that we wont have any more, but it is so hard to stop the hens from being broody. So here we go again.
