This book was produced for pilots in the Canadian Airforce during the second world war. It is full of wonderful stuff.

What I like is the description of the emergency kit pilots must carry in case they have to bail out. To help two men survive for seven days they must have toilet paper, two corncob pipes, and 4 packages of compressed tobacco!
