Art from the rubble, gallery from the demolition
Not sure who has done this, but it's a bright spot in a grey area.
The artist/s have taken old furniture and covered it with "urban art" and arranged it on an open space where a building has been demolished after the earthquake, on the edge of the red zone. Open air gallery!
Positive messages e.g. aroha (Maori for love), hope, good luck, kia kaha (Maori for stand strong), are in amongst the patterns.
