....It's the Tax Man, yeah........
No shit, Sherlock!!!
The Tax Man sent me this today. It didn't come as much of a surprise because:-
1. We haven't had any tax credits since the old Family Allowance was done away with.
2. We earn too much to qualify for any working tax credits.
3. The "children" are 24 and 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's very nice though is the Tax Man, he still hasn't sorted out my alleged underpayment, caused by my employer, not me, but he does like sending me letters.
I got this letter today, the Boss got an identical letter today telling her the same thing...and......we got a letter adressed to both of us telling us the same thing. And the same thing happened last year....and the year before...and the year before......and the year before, and he sent us three forms to fill in to claim the non-existent tax credits 6 years ago, one for me, one for the Boss and one for both of us.....and when we duly filled them in (knowing that we didn't qualify) he sent us three letters telling us we didn't qualify, one for me, one for the Boss and one for both of us....and then he followed that up with three more letters, one for me to tell me that I hadn't returned my form and so they couldn't assess me, one for the Boss to tell her I hadn't returned my form, so they couldn't assess me, but they had assessed her and she didn't qualify....and ....you've guessed it one for both of us thanking us for filling in the forms but telling us we didn't qualify (the kids were 18 and 21 so we didn't qualify any way).
And some of you think the lunatics are taking over the asylum...let me tell you, they've been running it for the last six years!
