Busy day at the pond

I went back across the street to take a photo of an old milkweed pod I had seen on Cider's walk this morning. Look what I found instead!

The muskrats were hiding behind the water lilies for a while, but as they were avidly eating the water lily leaves, their shelter soon disappeared down their gullets.

Some of them are having a very bad hair day.

Good thing I didn't bring Cider with me...


Definitely better in large.
