The best of weather

What a morning! No clouds and no wind - just perfect for putting the boat back in the water. She was reversed down a slipway in slings and then floated free. No sudden fountains of water or even slow seepage and we were slowly pushed on to a mooring - the red one ahead in this blip photo - by a dinghy. It was very peaceful.

The weather changed throughout the day, becoming very windy for a while and it has now clouded over. We were very lucky this morning!

It wasn't all plain sailing - we had difficulty starting the engine and an important clip is missing from the boom. However, we are hopeful that we might get a sail around the loch tomorrow. We spent a happy day on the water enjoying the motion of the boat on the mooring, re-attaching (I'm sure there must be a nautical term, but it eludes me at the moment) the sails, connecting the mast wires, and generally tidying up and making Sula shipshape.
