Soulful eyes

On our after lunch walk through Bryan Park, Poppy and I stopped in the shade so I could take a few pictures. I snapped this one of her after she'd had a good roll in the grass. I love it when you can see the 'white's' of a dog's eyes, it makes them seem so expressive.

We got Poppy from the local animal shelter and on their poster of adoptable dogs on which she was displayed, she was described as having 'soulful eyes.' I think this is what they meant.
