Monarch Dancing on the Rhododendron

I saw a butterfly
land
on the purple lupine
and I ran inside to
get the camera. By
the time
I got outside again
the butterfly
-- or was it another? --
had shifted
to the lavender rhododendron.
I watched it land
and land
and land
and land
and I thought, I could
stand here
and watch it all day.
As I write this,
it is back on the rhododendron
again.
