New Furniture from Recycled Materials

The RE Store in Bellingham, which sells recycled building materials, has a new division called REvision, creating affordable, quality furniture made from reclaimed lumber and hardware. The lead designer is Eberhard Eichner, who trained as an apprentice in Germany, and has 30 years experience as a professional finish carpenter and furniture builder/repairman.

I went to the first of a series of demonstrations by Eberhard today. The focus was on making end tables and chests from doors. I'm not exactly a beginner in woodworking, but I found the class very helpful and learned some useful tips. I'm looking forward to the next class.
