Funny Old Day
I was going to go to the Holker Hall Show in Cumbria today, but as the brakes failed on my car yesterday, it was a bit of a non-starter. Instead, I went with my family to the Myerscough College Agricultural Fair. The college isn't too far from my home and we could all get in one car.
With over 200 attractions the children had plenty to do. Me? Well I had to think of something so I followed up on yesterday's blip and went on a *Farmers' Market'* quest. Interesting, very interesting. After following up on Judith's link yesterday, I was very clear about the definition of the term *farmers' market*.
By the end of the day I had spoken in person to the very person I needed to speak to. The listing of 26 markets in the area as farmers' markets is under review and I don't think they will be listed as such in the next local publication. They are ordinary markets and I don't think it is fair to put the word farmers' in front of them in order to make them sound more appealing to the public.
Thank you, Judith.
