SFMOMA
The museum of modern art in SF is an amazing building, with a huge entry foyer, and so many nice touches round every corner. This picture is their central stairway. Ultra-linear.
They had a great exhibition on (half price Thurs eve) that included the photography of Edward Muybridge, the Brit who moved to SF young and took some fantastic shots of early growth and development of the city, as well as shots out in the wide open country.
He was also famous for the zootropic style freeze frames of animals running and gymnasts moving, for which he collaborated with the university design team.
There was also a series of stereoscopic shots, which when viewed with 3D glasses give the appearance of depth. Very impressive, given that we're only just getting excited by 3D again.
Good place to stop by if you're passing..
