What a contrast with Friday when it was glorious wall to wall sunshine.
Nothing of the kind today. Much too dull for a Sunday in June.

Here you have a drainpipe and a vintage one at that. The house itself dates from the 1570's, so had been around quite a while when this new drainpipe was added.
And who or what was PBS? An individual? The local building company?

Did they come up with an estimate for the job in hand or just carry out the work and then present the residents with the bill?

Would they have looked at the size of the house and the acres of land surrounding it and think, "They can afford this, easy".
