Surprise Seedlings

This box usually has tomatoes in it but since we are going to be away for nearly four weeks in the summer and because they never really tasted too nice anyway this year it's a bit of a box of surprises.

It's got Basil, bought from the supermarket and spread out for longer life (hopefully) and lemon balm that I keep thinking of infusing in hot water for a refreshing drink. And now there's the surprise seedlings that the kids brought back from Mr and Mrs Fish's allotment two weeks ago. Some of it is carrots, some water cress and some I don't know. Soon the seeds will have to move on to the balcony and we'll see what grows out of it. I think it's all edible anyway.

A bit of an emergency blip. Went to the pond earlier this afternoon, it was freezing cold but the goslings looked interesting, amazing how quickly they grow, really! Forgot my camera because I only took my really small handbag. Serves me right...
