Camp Weekend...
This weekend had a number of firsts. Yesterday, was Bethany and Ewan's first trip on a cable car, today I stood on a bridge whilst a steam train went underneath it and the main first of the weekend was camping for the kids.
We were at the Mountain Bike World Cup yesterday so decided to make a weekend of it and packed the tent and camping gear. It's actually the first time we've managed to use the big tent since we got it. It faired brilliantly and is the perfect size for the four of us. The kids loved it and were snugged up in their ready beds.
On the way home today we decided to trundle back through the towering landscape that is Glencoe. If you've never been, do! It's an absolute stunning drive that sort of requires an open top car. The mountains that you drive beside feel like they curl over above your head.
Anyway, got home in not too bad time, got the tents back out to dry and Ewan helped me professionally pack them back away, he makes a good air ejector rolling pin, and then we headed for a wee bike ride to the library.
A great day.
