Today we saw

Mummy, today we:

- dropped Reuben off at school and I could hear his teachers and friends call his name as he giggled (you know that giggle he does mum when he's so excited and rubs his nose - well that one)
- went to the playground and every time I asked you to climb up the steps, up a climbing frame or down a slide you did and that made me smile
- walked past a huge swimming pool but there wasn't any water like in Pollywogs and then you said the strangest thing that people skate on boards in it
- watched 3 huge fire trucks outside the library and then suddenly, the firemen rushed to the trucks and we watched as they pulled out their yellow jackets and trousers and black shiny boots and got changed in the middle of the street and Mama you thought you should look the other way and did but then I saw you turn your head round as if you were having a sneaky little look, but the firemen smiled anyway and the sirens went off and they were gone
- ran around crazy in the library whilst you tried to read a book about Gloria Vanderbilt that you couldn't put down and ended up taking home and we played with the library's computers
- picked up Reuben from school and went back to the library since we had some "time to kill"
- met Reuben's orthopedic Dr about the big surgery he's having on his neck and you asked lots of questions whilst I ran around shouting "run away" which was really funny (well at least I thought so)
- listened to the Dr saying the halo would be on for at least 3 months (which I don't think by your face was good news) but that the nice Dr might be able to use wire instead of screws into Reuben's head (which sounds very scary but I think was good news by your face)
- did two huge puzzles of a fire station then a farm on the floor and after a while those huge floor puzzles become easy peasy for me and I just want more
- were all so zzzzzzzzzzzz.....
