Constable Sky
I'm half way between Mistley and Manningtree and this is the River Stour Estuary as it feeds out (left to right) from the Essex / Suffolk borders to merge with the North Sea between Harwich and Felixstowe.
Sometimes I pass this spot several times a week, and then don't see it again for months.
East Anglia is reknown for being broadly flat, although there are still some puffing hills here for walkers. A few miles to the left of this picture is where John Constable painted some of his famous pictures such as The Haywain. Willie Lotts Cottage is still there and I am sure I will blip that some time soon.
This panorama is a stitch up of four photos using Microsoft Image Composite Editor and has been processed in Lightroom.
