Cakes from The Baking Bird

What another lovely day. We packed the dogs into the car and headed to Falmouth where we met up with Cornish Blonde who has made some of her delicious cup cakes for my mum's birthday.

She is starting up a business making her fabulous cakes - The Baking Bird. They are delicious. I chose chocolate, and raspberry and white chocolate sponge and then they are decorated with gorgeous icing and flowers, butterflies etc. As I am sat typing this, Casper is looking at them growling and barking because he wants one!!! They are so moist and tasty, totally yum!! I am pleased to be her first proper customer and wish her masses of success. What a lovely, bubbly, gorgeous and kindhearted lady she is. It was great to meet and chat - her accent got more and more pronounced after being with us Midlanders!!! Sorry Lord G!!

After leaving Selena we popped into Falmouth which is full of lovely shops. We stopped off at Blisland for dinner - I want to live there. It was full of lovely chatty welcoming people.

The dogs were so good all day and had so much love and fuss of people. St Ives tomorrow, weather permitting!
