Road Trip.

Although my brother and his girlfriend came to my mother's house to see us earlier this week they actually live in Lost Wages Las Vegas so today we left the kids with Grandma and drove out to spend the weekend with them. It's the first time we've ever both been away from the kids at the same time but they seem to have a good schedule of fun planned out!

The drive through the Mojave Desert has some quite spectacular views. These Joshua trees, actually the largest yuccas in the world, are dotted around and help break up what would otherwise be a pretty desolate desert landscape. Unfortunately, everywhere you look there are also power lines so it's pretty well impossible to take any shots without some in!
