Ay carumba!

One of my daughter's topics at school last year was 'Mexico' so, being so close, we decided to drive down to the border today.

We had a lovely Mexican lunch in San Diego Old Town then mooched around the shops and museums for a while. It still looks a lot like the original old Spanish mission and every now and then you really do think you've stepped back in time.

Later we drove down to the border and walked over into Tijuana. Although it's obviously nothing like venturing into the 'real' Mexico, at least the kids can say they've been - and the grown-ups got their Margaritas!
