All Aboard

This is a horrible photo of me! Soaked and Frozen is my excuse...But for a worthy cause...

Today was our Bookstart in the park event. The theme was 'All Aboard!" So the Children's Team hired a vintage bus to join in the fun!

It rained, it poured, the wind blew gales and it even hailstoned....but it was fantastic!

"Wheels on the Bus" has never sounded better than when sang with a group of parents and toddlers on the top deck of a big red bus. The weather didn't keep the crowds away and the kids loved trooping upstairs.

It was a long day, after the park - I sat in the office with my coat on because I was frozen to my bones but soon warmed up when our Young Carers group arrived for their evening session. It was brilliant and so were the young people.

Love my job.
