Cupcakes and Tea for Three!

Off with the girls today, so nice! We jumped on the train to Uppermill. The girls spent half an hour on the park and then I took them to 'Spoon full of sugar' the wonderful cupcake cafe.

They loved it! It's very shabby chic and Cath Kidston. Jeanne had a Rocky Road cupcake and Evie went for Vanilla 99 (with a flake) The staff are lovely and we had a really nice time. We got a take out for Lily :)

Popped into the sweet shop next door and the girls got some sherbet dips but as we walked outside we got caught in another downpour! I feel like I've been rained on every day for the last month!

I had no coat, no hood and no umberella and the girls were in their hoodies so there was only one thing for it...off to 'A month of Sundaes" for a couple of scoops of ice cream until the rain stopped for a bit.

Really nice surprise at the train station on the way home. Bumped into my favourite philosopher who is so calm and level headed and always makes me feel much better about the world. Have arranged to have a big chat next time we are working in the same building. I say chat...it's more like counselling for me!

All my girls are with their dads tonight, Poor Lily has had to go to her much loved Grandad's funeral. She has been very brave and I know she will be so upset today. Hopefully now the funeral is over with she will start to heal a bit.

Single again and a bit lonely tonight without my girls but counting my blessings and embracing life (if not *quite* loving it) at the moment!
