White

I remember, very vaguely, the stuff I learned about genes in biology class. As I was enjoying the scent of lilacs in my front garden this afternoon, I came across this lilac mass with two white flowers. When I looked up white edged purple lilac, I found under "French Hybrid Lilacs" this one, named "Sensation".

Since it is a hybrid, I am assuming these 2 white lilac flowers just broke free and left the purple behind! The lilacs have been so wonderful this spring. I share this one with you again (see June 6)--same species, different plant!
