Denial

My heart hurts.
Not sure if I said and did everything I possibly could have.
Does she know how much I love her?
Will she remember to write, call, post photos for me?
Of all of the big things that have happened, this is the biggest.
If we don't say goodbye, maybe it won't be true.
But it is, and we kinda have to. It's right, and it's good.
