Weather was perfect! We strolled towards a hill opposite the bushland this afternoon and pulled out a handful of native plants along the way to add to the new garden. I found a dead native palm "Zamia Cycad" seed cone (large barrel-shaped below the vase) and decided to chop it off from the main branch. When we got home, I gave it a good rinse, sun-dried for a couple hours, and then sprayed with a clear gloss.

It is now displayed with the few snipped Banksia flowers which I expect will thrive for a least a month.
